Yeddyurappa formally launches Karnataka Janatha Party

Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, B S Yeddyurappa who took over the mantle of Karnataka Janatha Party on Sunday, has openly challenged BJP to dissolve Assembly and face election.

Speaking in the public rally yesterday in Haveri, Yeddyurappa said that the State Government survives due to the support extended by MLAs loyal to him.

Defying party orders, 14 MLAs and six MLCs, shared the dais with Yeddyurappa. Before the public meeting, a number of Ministers in the BJP government, met Yeddyurappa.

They included Shobha Karandlaje, C M Udasi, Murugesh Nirani, Revu Naik Belamagi, Basavaraj Bommai, Renukacharya and Vallyapure.

The BJP State President Eeshwarappa has informed that they will initiate disciplinary action against the 14 party MLAs and six MLCs who attended the Karnataka Janata Party convention in Haveri, at its core committee meeting on December 12.
