Yeddyurappa exempted from appearing today

Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, was on Saturday, granted one day exemption from appearing in the Lokayukta Special Court. However, the court made it clear that he would have to appear before it on next hearing on Monday.The court on August 8 had issued summons to Yeddyurappa and 14 others in connection with a private complaint against them filed by Mr. Sirajin Basha.Mr. Yeddyurappa's lawyer Ravi B Naik informed the court that Mr. Yeddyurappa was suffering from high fever, hyper tension and had been advised rest. Yedyurappa is facing charges of alleged irregularities in de-notification of lands acquired by the Bangalore Development Authority.
