She said when the Session is on; the Chief Minister should have clarified in the House instead of making a statement to the media outside.

AIR correspondent reports, the issue of illegal mining in Karnataka is taking interesting turns and twists every day. Both the Opposition and the Ruling party are hunting for each other’s throat.

The faux pas by the Chief Minister in terms of withdrawing some names mentioned earlier has now come handy for the Opposition. The JD(S) floor leader in the Council, Nannaiah has sought the names of officials who misguided the Chief Minister and demanded their suspension.

During the session in the Council this afternoon, the Opposition tried in vain to draw the attention of the Chairman that the Chief Minister has committed breach of privilege by misguiding the House, by clarifying outside.

The Chairman reacted that he cannot allow a subject matter that happened outside the house to be discussed here. He asked the Opposition to bring it up in the House after serving a notice to the Business Advisory Committee.
