Yeddyurappa, BJP MLAs reach Rashtrapati Bhawan

Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa has reached Rashtrapati Bhawan along with BJP MLAs to show his majority in the state assembly before the President. Yeddyurappa arrived in New Delhi last night along with the BJP MLAs, MPs and MLCs. The Karnataka Governor has reportedly sent his recommendations to the President for imposition of President's rule in the state after the Supreme Court quashed the disqualification of 11 BJP and five independent legislators by the speaker of the Karnataka Assembly in October last.BJP has demanded recall of Karnataka Governor H.R. Bhardwaj for his alleged unconstitutional act of recommending imposition of President's rule. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi following consultations in the BJP headquarters, the Party President Nitin Gadkari alleged that the Governor is trying to destabilise a popular government at the behest of Congress party. Gadkari claimed that his party has absolute majority in the state.
