The day mark the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Husain, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad and his companions, who laid down their lives in Karbala for upholding truth,righteousness and justice? .? <br/> <br/><br/>In Uttar Pradesh, the tenth day of Muharram is being observed in a gloomy atmosphere as Tazias taken in huge processions were buried at Karbalas of various places. AIR correspondent reports administration has made stringent security arrangements across the state in view of recent clashes between groups in various towns including Kannauj, Fatehpur and Banda.<br/>In Hyderabad , Telangana, display of unrestrained emotions marked Yaume Ashura (???? ????? ), the 10th day of Muharram. AIR correspondent reports that coinciding with the occasion, the historic Bibi-ka-Alam procession was taken out from Bibi-ka-Alawa in Dabeerpura to Chaderghat. <br/><br/>In Jammu & Kashmir, the Ashura processions were taken out peacefully in all the Shia populated areas in Srinagar, Budgam, Bandipora, Anantnag and Pulwama districts in the Valley. AIR correspondent reports that in Srinagar, the main Taaziya procession reached Central Imam Bara at Zadibal smoothly in downtown area.No untoward incident was reported from anywhere in the Valley.<br/><br/>In the national capital Delhi, the day is being observed with reverence. Tazia processions were taken out in different parts of the city to mark the occasion.
