In Punjab, an African national Yannik, who is in coma and struggling between life and death at a Patiala based hospital for the last more than two months, may soon be shifted to PGI in Chandigarh. The medical board setup by the state govt. has reported that keeping in view Yannik’s present situation he should be shifted to PGI in larger interest of the patient.Meanwhile, Yannik’s father Nestor Ntibateganya has complained to the Deputy Commissioner, Patiala against the irresponsible behaviour of Jalandhar based University where his son was studying.Patiala Deputy Commissioner, G.K. Singh, when contacted told AIR Jalandahar correspondent that he would bring into the notice of the Chief Minister and Secretary, Higher Education about this irresponsible behaviour of the Lovely university.
