River Yamuna is flowing over two meters above the danger mark. With fresh release of water from the Hatnikund barrage and heavy rains in the upper catchments areas, the water level in the river has swelled up to 206.92 meters, 2.09 meters above the danger mark. According to officials, the water level is expected to rise further.Old Yamuna Bridge was closed for traffic on Tuesday itself due to the rising water level in the river.According to Northern Railway officials, 27 local trains have been cancelled, 53 trains terminated short of destination and another 65 have been diverted.
