In Manipur, Y. Joykumar Singh has been brought back to the post of Director General of Police again today. Former state DGP Ratnakar Baral has been shifted to Officer on Special Duty(Home). The post of Managing Director, Manipur Police Housing Corporation which was held by Joykumar Singh has been given to IGP L K Haokip in addition to his normal duty. It may be mentioned that Joykumar Singh was removed from the post of state police chief just ahead of the tenth Manipur Legislative Assembly Elections on the directive of the Election Commission of India.
