Indo Russian pair of Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina will take on Shuai Peng of China and her partner from Chinese Taipei Su-Wei Hsieh in the Doubles Semi final of the WTA Dubai Open Tennis Championship today. Second seeds Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina defeated Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez and Shahar Peer in the quarter finals 6-1, 4-6, 10-8. Defending champion Caroline Wozniacki has entered the semi-finals of the WTA Dubai Open Tennis Championship along with Agniesza Radwanska, Jelena Jankovic and Julia Goerges. Eighth seed Jelena Jankovic caused the biggest upset as she defeated the reigning US Open champion Samantha Stosur 6-4, 6-2 to storm into the Semifinals. Third-seeded Wozniacki overcame a stiff challenge from Ana Ivanovic to win 6-3, 7-5. Fifth seed Radwanska swept aside Sabine Lisicki 6-2, 6-1 to reach her second semi-final in two weeks. German Julia Goerges rallied to edge past Russian Daniela Hantuchova 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
