Several writers' bodies today expressed serious concern over recent spate of incidents like the murder of noted rationalist M M Kalburgi, Marathi author Govind Pansare and Dadri lynching incident. They demanded the Prime Minister to take action against those disturbing communal harmony. <br/><br/>Addressing a Pratirodh Sabha in New Delhi, Vyaas Samman awardee Vishwanath Tripathi said, the recent happenings have shaken the consciousness of the entire nation and the country is passing through a troubled phase. Writers have sensed the gravity of the situation, which is why they are registering their protest by returning the award. Mr Tripathi refuting the charges that the protest by writers was a political move. He said, this is a completely cultural agitation and not a political one.
