In Arunachal Pradesh, the wreckage of the missing Pawan Hans Chopper has been sighted today morning after a week long search and rescue operation. The chopper carrying Tirap District Deputy Commissioner Kamalesh Joshi and two others went missing on August 4 on its way from Khonsa in Tirap district to Longding. Indian Air Force started search operation at 4.34 am today morning with 9 co-ordinates at hand. At around 5.45 am the search team informed the command to have sighted the debris of the missing Pawan Hans chopper near Sangliam village 12 km from Khonsa in Tirap District.<br/><br/>The information was immediately passed on to Assam Rifles for carrying out ground operations. It is reported that Assam Rifles have sighted two parts- one tail and one round part of the chopper. But due to inhospitable terrain, bad weather and darkness more could not be found today. Till now there is no any news about the three occupants in the chopper. The search and rescue operation will be resumed tomorrow again.
