Nepal’s Prime Minister has again said that he would resign by 13th August if substantial progress is made on peace and the constitution drafting. According to the Prime Minister’s Spokesman Ganga lal Tuladhar in the first cabinet meeting held on Thursday after the reshuffle that took place on Monday, the Prime Minister said he was trying to find common ground among political parties if he does not make substantial progress. He directed his cabinet including the ten new Ministers to strive for peace process and constitution drafting.Meanwhile, the Cabinet has decided to make the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) chairman as Energy Secretary. The government decision made Energy Secretary Balananda Poudel the new chairman of the Nepal Electricity Authority in order to remove political interference. Earlier, the energy minister was the chairman.
