Today is World Telecommunication and Information Society Day. This day is celebrated to help raise awareness of the possibilities the use of internet and other information and communication technologies (ICTs). This theme this year is Better City, Better Life with ICTs. The Minister of Communication and IT, Mr. A. Raja will present the National Telecom Awards in the capital today to mark the occasion. The awards are given to recognise outstanding contributions to the sector for building a robust national telecom network.
