World T20: Sri Lanka beat Afghanistan by six wickets

In Cricket, Sri Lanka defeated Afghanistan by 6 wickets in their opening Super-10 Group-1 match of the World T-20 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata last night. Riding on its skipper Asghar Stanikzai's 62, Afghanistan posted 153 for 7 after opting to bat.In reply, Sri Lanka overhauled the target with 7 balls to spare thanks to an unbeaten 56-ball 83 by Tillakaratne Dilshan. He was adjudged man of the match.Today, Australia will take on New Zealand in Group-2 at 3 PM, while England will meet South Africa in Group-1 at 7:30 PM.In the Women's World T-20, New Zealand will be up against Ireland in Mohali at 3 PM, with Australia facing South Africa at Nagpur at 7:30 PM. Yesterday, England had defeated Bangladesh by 36 runs. Both the Indian Men's and Women's teams will take on Pakistan tomorrow.
