Earlier opting to bat England seemed in deep trouble when they were slumped to 6 for 57. Moeen Ali's unbeaten 41 and DJ Willey's 20 not out gave England a late lift, as the team recovered from 85 for 7 to make 142 in 20 overs. For Afghanistan, Mohammad Nabi and Samiullah Shenwari claimed two wickets each.In another fixture today, India will clash with Bangladesh this evening in a must-win group game of the tournament at Bengaluru. This match will begin at 7:30 PM. Team India has won a game, and lost one, and will have to beat Bangladesh by a decent margin today to stay alive in the tournament. Bangladesh, which has lost both the matches played so far, is at the bottom of Group-2, and a defeat today will end their chances of progressing to the semi-finals.
