Bangladesh defeated Netherlands by 8 runs in a closely fought T-20 match of the qualifying rounds of the World Cup at Dharmshala. Sent in to bat, Bangladesh made 153 for 7 in their alloted 20 overs. Tamim Iqbal was the highest score with 83 runs. Ivon Der Gugten picked up 3 wickets while Van Meckeran took 2 wickets. Netherlands ended up 8 runs short of the victory target, making 145 for 7 in their alloted overs. Myburgh and Borren made 29 runs each while Cooper made 20. Al Amin Hussain and Shakib -al- hasan picked up 2 wicket each.
