Australia defeated Bangladesh by three wickets in their World Twenty20 Men's Cricket match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore last night. Australia chased Bangladesh's score of 156 runs in 18.3 overs to clinch their first win in ongoing World Cup campaign. Usman Khawaja and Adam Zampa played lead roles in a nervy three-wicket victory over Bangladesh. Australian Batsman Usman Khawaja scored a typically stylish 58 from 44 balls and paved the way for victory. Leg spinner Adam Zampa who claimed three important wickets for just 23 runs, was adjudged man of the match. Earlier, put in to bat , Bangladesh made 156 for 5 in the stipulated 20 overs. With the win, Australia collected two points to remain in contention for a semifinal berth while Bangladesh is now on the brink of elimination. New Zealand will play against Pakistan at Mohali this evening.
