World T20, 1st qualifier: Zimbabwe beat Hong Kong by 14 runs

In the qualifiers for World T-20, Zimbabwe has defeated Hong Kong by 14 runs. The match played at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur witnessed Zimbabwe curtailing Hong Kong at 114 for 6 in 20 overs after they had earlier posted 158 for 8 in 20 overs. Zimbabwean innings was propelled by Vusi Sibanda who made 59 of 46 balls but it was anchored by Elton Chigumbura who smashed 30 of just 13 balls that helped the side post a competitive total. Hong Kong though had a cautious start as opener Jamie Atkinson made 53 in 44 balls but a tight economical bowling from other end kept them at bay. Sibanda was adjudged Man of the match for his batting prowess. The other qualifier match from Group B slated is between Scotland and Afghanistan being played at the same venue. The match is currently underway.
