World T-20: South Africa beat Sri Lanka by 8 wickets

In Cricket, South Africa brought curtains on their World T20 campaign with a comfortable eight-wicket win over Sri Lanka in an inconsequential Group 1 match in New Delhi last night. Put into bat, Sri Lanka threw away a solid start to be bowled out for 120 in 19.3 overs. South Africa chased down the modest target without any fuss with consistent Hashim Amla scoring a well-calculated 56-run knock.In the first semi-final tomorrow, New Zealand will take on England at Delhi's Firozshah Kotla stadium. While, in Women's event yesterday, Sri Lanka ambushed South Africa by 10 runs in Bangalore to exit the tournament on a winning note. Neither of the sides has made the semifinals.
