India defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata last night to register their first win in two games in the ongoing World T-20. After rain forced the game into an 18-over encounter, India opted to bowl on a turning track and restricted Pakistan to 118 for 5. Ashish Nehra, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, Suresh Raina and Hardik Pandya bagged a wicket each.In reply, after early fall of wickets, the Men in Blue overhauled the target with 13 balls to spare thanks to a brilliant innings from Virat Kohli who scored a 37-ball 55. Yuvraj Singh also played a valuable innings of 24. Kohli was adjudged man of the match.This was India's fifth victory over Pakistan in as many games in World T20, and the first at Eden Gardens.Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Team India on twitter for the victory.Earlier in the day, in Women's World T-20, India lost to Pakistan by 2 runs at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi.In today's matches, South African Men's team will meet Afghanistan, with Sri Lanka taking on the West Indies.In the Women's section, Bangladesh will be up against the West Indies, while Ireland will clash with Sri Lanka.
