Last night was no different. It all began with a heavy downpour in Kolkata that almost spoilt the fun for the thousands, including the host of celebrities, who assembled at the Eden Gardens to witness the mother of all battles. Luck favoured MS Dhoni early on as he won the toss and opted to bowl in the 18-over a side game on a turning track, with Shahid Afridi somewhat missing a trick by opting four pacers. The Men in Blue, then, restricted Pakistan to 118 for 5. In reply, they got off to a nervy start, as after Rohit Sharma's wicket, Mohammed Sami sent Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina packing on successive deliveries, sending jitters down the spine of the Indian fans. Then rose India's saviour on so many occasions, Virat Kohli. He and Yuvraj Singh brilliantly handled the pressure to break India's jinx against Pakistan at the Eden Gardens and keep the hopes of semi-final berth alive. Kohli's classy 37-ball 55 not out, and Yuvraj's 24 made sure that India remain unbeaten against its neighbors in the World T-20. Kohli was adjudged man of the match.
