World T-20: B'desh qualifies for Super-10 after beating Oman by 54 runs

In Cricket, Bangladesh has qualified for the Super-10 stage of the ICC Twenty-20 World Cup. In their final Qualifying match at Dharamsala last night, they defeated Oman by 54 runs via Duckworth-Lewis method. Sent in to bat, Tamim Iqbal scored the first T20 century for Bangladesh as the Tigers amassed 180 for 2 in 20 overs. He scored a 63-ball 103 comprising 10 fours and 5 sixes.Rain, then, played spoilsport, and the target for Oman was revised for 120 runs from 12 overs. Oman could only make 65 in the stipulated overs. Shakib Al Hasan bagged 4 wickets. Tamim Iqbal was named man of the match. Earlier, Afghanistan had made it to the Super-10. The Super-10 stage will begin tomorrow, with hosts India taking on New Zealand at Nagpur.
