Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Gajendra Singh Shekhawat today said the world is realizing that India is on the verge of becoming self-reliant and emerging as a developed country. He was speaking after inaugurating a week long photo exhibition -New India, We Resolve to Make- at the BHEL Community Centre, in Hyderabad this evening. <br/><br/>He said, the country made six resolutions, to make India- Free of Corruption, Poverty, Filth, Communalism, Terrorism and Casteism on the commemoration of the 75 th year of the Quit India Movement. Stating that the government has brought 30 crore Indians into the banking system through Jan Dhan bank accounts, the minister said, self employment is being provided to youth by giving them loans through Mudra Bank. <br/><br/>He further said, the Government is providing fruits of 316 programmes to the beneficiaries directly without any middle men. Mr Shekhawat said, demonetisation of major denomination notes has increased lending capacity of the banks. He asked people to become partners in the development process. <br/><br/>He said, the exhibition is aimed at spreading the Prime Minister's message of achieving a New India by 2022. <br/><br/>The exhibition has been organized by Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity jointly with the Song and Drama Division under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) in association with Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
