World oil prices down in Asian trade

World oil prices were lower in Asian trade on Tuesday. New York's light sweet crude was down 23 cents to 108.24 dollars per barrel while Brent North Sea crude fell seven cents to 120.99 dollars per barrel. Analysts said oil prices pulled back as the high prices prompted profit-taking. They said investors remained jittery over the political situation in the oil-producing Middle East and North Africa region.
