World number one Novak Djokovic and third seed Stanislas Wawrinka set up Men's Singles title clash at the US Open Tennis

In Tennis, world number one Novak Djokovic and third seed Stanislas Wawrinka have set up the Men's Singles title clash of the US Open, the final Grand Slam of the season. In the semi-finals played under tough humid conditions, Djokovic defeated Frenchman Gael Monfils, 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 to reach his seventh final at the event, while Wawrinka beat Kei Nishikori, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4, 6-2 to enter the US Open final for the first time.While Djokovic is aiming to win his third US Open and 13th Grand Slam title, Wawrinka is eying his third major trophy.The Women's Singles Final between soon-to-be world number one Angelique Kerber and Karolina Pliskova will be played late tonight. In the semi-finals, Pliskova had stunned 6-time winner and favourite Serena Williams, while Kerber defeated Caroline Wozniacki.For Pliskova, this will be her maiden Grand Slam final, while Kerber, who is the current Australian Open champion, will be eying for her second major trophy.Meanwhile, the unseeded German-Croatian team of Laura Siegemund and Mate Pavic has bagged the Mixed Doubles title. They defeated the seventh-placed American pair of Coco Vandeweghe and Rajeev Ram, 6-4, 6-4.
