Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the world must walk on the path of peace, which brings happiness and prosperity. <br/><br/>Interacting with the monks at Quan Su Pagoda in Hanoi, Vietnam today he said Buddhism took the sea route from India to Vietnam and therefore Vietnam has received the purest form of Buddhism. <br/><br/>Mr. Narendra Modi further said he has seen a glow on the faces of the monks who have been to India, and a great curiosity on the faces of those who wish to travel to India. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister invited them to visit the land of the Buddha and especially Varanasi, which he represents in Parliament. <br/><br/>Earlier twelve agreements were signed by the both countries covering different aspects.<br/><br/>Before leaving for Hangzhou China to participate in G-20 conference, he held a courtesy calls with Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang, Chairperson of National Assembly Ms Nguyen Thi Kim Ngam and General Secretary of Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports, this two days visit of Prime Minister Mr. Narender Modi to the Hanoi has further strengthened the ties of both the countries. Mr. Narender Modi assured full support from Indian side in sectors like modernization of agriculture, strengthening science and technology base and to take steps to build a modern Vietnam to his counterpart. <br/><br/>Keeping in view the present world scenario Prime Minister talked on various issues including defence cooperation and peace. <br/><br/>Definitely, this hectic visit of Prime Minister Mr. Narender Modi has added a new chapter in the century old history of Indo-Vietnam relations.
