Indian Women's Hockey team has defeated Japan by 1-0 to achieve fifth place in the World League semi-final at Antwerp, Belgium on Saturday. This win has enhanced the hopes of Indian team to qualify for next year's Rio Olympics. The Indian team may play in their first Olympic after 36 years.In the men's Hockey World League, World champions Australia will meet hosts Belgium in the title clash at Antwerp on Sunday . Aussies reached the finals after overcoming some stiff resistance from Great Britain to notch up a 3-1 win in the Semifinals.World number one Australia stamped their authority during he second half to advance to Sunday's final against the home side, who defeated India 4-0 in the other semifinal of the tournament. India and Great Britain will also meet in the bronze medal match on Sunday.All the four semifinalists from this World League will secure passage to the 2016 Olympics. India has already ensured its qualification with their Asian Games gold medal in Incheon.
