Legal authorities around the world have stepped up pressure on the founder of the web site Wikileaks, Julian Assange, whose publication of secret diplomatic cables has angered Washington and other governments. The British authorities have received the European arrest warrant for Mr. Assange in connection with allegations of sexual assault in Sweden. Mr. Assange's lawyer said his client is making arrangements to meet British police voluntarily. Mr. Assange's lawyers say that the move against him is a political stunt. Meanwhile, the United States is now looking at how Mr. Assange could face charges there with senior politicians in both parties calling for action to be taken against him. One described him as a high-tech terrorist.
