The World Kabaddi League was launched in New Delhi on Tuesday in the presence of Deputy Punjab Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and former India hockey captain Pargat Singh. Aimed at raising the profile of the sport, the league is all set for inauguration in mid-June at Thyagaraj Sports Complex in New Delhi. The Kabaddi league will be played across four continents starting from August to December. Organisers of the event said that the league will travel to 14 cities around the world. While Badal is the president of World Kabaddi League, Pargat Singh is commissioner of the league.
