World Hindi Day being observed today

World Hindi Day is being observed today. The day is commemorated every year with the objective to promote use of Hindi language abroad. On this day in 2006,&nbsp;the First World Hindi Conference was held in Nagpur with the aim to promote the language worldwide and since then, every year 10th January is being observed as the World Hindi Day. The Ministry of External Affairs and Indian Missions abroad also observe the day annually.<br />”&nbsp;<br />”Minister of External Affairs Dr S Jaishankar has greeted all the people on the occasion. In a tweet, he said, the contribution of those involved in spreading and promoting Hindi across the world has been commendable and remarkable. He hoped that on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav this day would be celebrated with enthusiasm and joy.<br />”&nbsp;<br />”<span style="color: #222222;">In a tweet, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not only made Hindi lovers proud by delivering his powerful and influential speech in Hindi at various global forums, but has also given a new identity to Hindi.</span><br />
