World has started recognizing India as an upcoming power: PM Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the world has started recognizing India as an upcoming power and a land for fulfilling expectations. Addressing a huge gathering of Indian community at Wembley Stadium in London Friday night, he said Indian economy is the fastest growing economy in the world and world wants to walk step by step with her without any discrimination. Mr Modi said, this is an indication of better future for which all 125 crore Indians and those of Indian origin living abroad should feel proud of.<br/><br/>Mr Modi said two major problems world is facing today are of terrorism and global warming. He said India has the capacity to show the path to the world to tackle both these problems by following the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi, which are relevant even during present times because of his foresightedness. Mr. Modi said that India has taken an initiative to form a group of those countries who have the resources for solar power which can be utilized for generating more energy. He said he would take up this issue during a scheduled meet on global warming in Paris. Prime Minister said the speed and direction, which India has adopted for its overall development, would soon deliver results.<br/><br/>During over one-and-a-half hour long interactive speech, Mr. Modi spelled out major initiatives taken by the Centre for overall development of the country including Swachh Bharat and toilets for girl child in every school and got a huge response from the people listening and cheering him.<br/><br/>Mr. Modi categorically said that Hindustan is not that much that one sees through television screen or news paper headlines. It is beyond that.<br/><br/>Mr Modi announced the re-launching of direct flight from London to Ahmedabad from December 15th.<br/><br/>Earlier, British Prime Minister David Cameron who accompanied Mr. Modi greeted the gathering with 'Namaste'. He said India and Britain share a multi-racial democracy on earth. Appreciating the Indian origin Britishers who have immensely contributed in the progress of the United Kingdom, Mr Cameron said, it would not be long that one day an Indian origin Britisher would become the Prime Minister of the UK.<br/><br/>Before moving to Turkey for G-20 Summit starting from tomorrow, Mr. Modi's today's engagements include bilateral meetings, unveiling of Basaveshwara Statue and inauguration of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial at 10 King Henry's Road. <br/><br/>Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India's diversity is the country's strength and pride. Underlining the importance of peaceful co-existence, he said diversity is speciality of India and the country is full of diversity. Mr. Modi said, despite the country being home to diverse religions, over 100 languages and 1,500 dialects, Indians have proved how to live together.
