President Pranab Mukherjee today said world has moved towards pro active protection of environment. Addressing World Conference on Environment in New Delhi, the President said environment degradation and its impact on health and climate changes are no longer theoretical but people are facing the adverse impact in everyday lives. He said environment protection demands a corrective intervention of international community as a whole. He said conservation has now become inclusive and participatory. The President lauded the National Green Tribunal for facilitating the World Conference on Environment for wide ranging discussions on environmental issues of universal concern.
