World Food Day being observed today

Today is World Food Day. The day marks the foundation of Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations in 1945. In 1979 for the first time it was observed as a Day for action against hunger.<br />”&nbsp;<br />”The Day stresses the need for global solidarity to help all populations, and especially the most vulnerable to recover from the crisis, and to make food systems more resilient and robust. It also highlights the importance to create a food system that can withstand increasing volatility and climate shocks, deliver affordable and sustainable healthy diets for all, and decent livelihoods for food system workers.<br />”&nbsp;<br />”<span style="color: #222222;">In an exclusive interview with AIR News, the Representative and Country Director, World Food Programme (WFP) India, Bishow Parajuli said, a large number of people are still hungry in this world and we need to work together as a world community to eliminate hunger and achieve zero hunger.</span>
