World famous 11-day gala festival Bargarh Dhanua Jatra is all set to begin today. All rituals were performed before Goddess Samaleswari, the presiding deity of the event. <br/><br/>The event will set the stage for all mythological places related to Lord Krishna. Kansa will rule Bargarh, the western Odisha town for 11 days from today. Ministers, bureaucrats and police officials appear before the demon King during the 11 day yatra and act as per the direction of the King. <br/><br/>Elephants and camels have reached the Bargarh town for the journey of Kansa Maharaj. Dhanu Jatra is the annual drama-based open air theatrical performance celebrated in and around Bargarh city is considered to be the world's largest open air theatrical festival.
