Group of Seven leaders today said that pumping up the world economy is an urgent priority, but member countries can take a go-your-own-way approach to growth plans. In a statement, the G7 said, global growth is their urgent priority. Taking into account country-specific circumstances, the G7 committed itself to strengthen its economic policy responses in a cooperative manner and employ a more forceful and balanced policy mix, in order to swiftly achieve a strong, sustainable and balanced growth pattern. At the close of their talks in Ise-Shima, Japan, it said, the refugee crisis gripping Europe is a problem that the whole world must deal with. The statement said, G7 recognises the ongoing large scale movements of migrants and refugees as a global challenge which requires a global response.
