Today is World Disable Day. Many programmes are being organised across the country on the occasion. President Pratibha Devisingh Patil will honour best disable employees and the organisations who are doing job for the welfare of disable persons. In Uttar Pradesh, several programmes are being organized today across the state.AIR correspondent reports that at most of the district headquarters special camps are being organised to distribute artificial limbs and equipments to handicapped persons. A multi purpose identity card is being provided to all disabled persons by the State government to avail benefits from welfare schemes initiated by the government. The government has provided free travel in state transport buses and 15 years age relaxation for government services to disable persons.
