In a major set back into Commonwealth Games preparations the first ever Pistol and Rifle world cup scheduled to be held in New Delhi has been cancelled. As per statement on the International Shooting Sport Federation's website the Organising Committee of the New Delhi World Cup withdrew its application to host the event in March 2010 at the Karni Singh shooting range in Delhi which is presently under renovation for Commonwealth Games. The moves come amidst doubts being raised about India's preparation for the Commonwealth Games in 2010.
