France defeated South Africa 2-1 while the match between Australia and Argentina ended in a 3-3 draw in the FIH Hockey Men's World Cup at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

Earlier, Malaysia beat Chile 3-2 at the Birsa Munda Stadium in Rourkela this afternoon. In another match,  the Netherlands thrashed New Zealand 4-0 at the same venue.

India will take on Wales on Thursday in the last of its group stage matches. India has already ascended to No. 2 position in the Pool-D after a goalless draw against England yesterday.
