World Cup 2015: Teams struggling to save quarterfinal spot
Tournament's largest phase the league stage is almost coming to an end, and still a lot of drama has to be unfolded. Bangladesh scripted history as they entered quarterfinals for the first time after defeating a considered mighty English team. Though England was not the first test playing nation that was sent packing, it was Zimbabwe. But they went out only after being lauded for their effort . Pool A has given it's 4 team for the quarters- New Zealand, Australia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Pool B on the other, have it's bracket still open as only India has qualified from this group to last 8 stage. A heavyweight South African side besides Pakistan and Ireland are lacking 2 points to qualify. Proteas and Pakistan have a lone outing to do so, while Ireland has one more match left even after today's encounter. The West Indies are also not out of contention as permutations and combinations are keeping them in the hunt.
