In cricket, the 15-member squad for next month's World Cup and the upcoming tri-nation series, also involving Australia and England, has been announced.

The players named in the Indian squad are – MS Dhoni (captain), Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Stuart Binny, R Ashwin, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Axar Patel, Mohammad Shami, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Ambati Rayudu.

The trio of Yuvraj Singh, Murali Vijay and Robin Uthappa have been ignored. The team announcement was made today, following a meeting of team selectors in Mumbai.
