Sri Lanka have set a huge victory target of 333 runs for Canada in the Group 'A' Day-Night World Cup Cricket match at Hambantota. Co-hosts Sri Lanka, who elected to bat after winning the toss, made 332 for 7 in their 50 overs. Mahela Jayawardene hit a century and was out at his individual score of 100. Skipper Kumar Sangakkara made 92. Earlier, in another Group 'A' fixture at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai today, New Zealand thumped Kenya by 10 wickets in a lop-sided match. Batting first, Kenya were all out for 69 in 23.5 overs. The Kiwis overhauled the target of 70 in just eight overs.It is the second fastest win in the history of the tournament. The fastest win ever was recorded by Sri Lanka against Canada in the 2003 edition at Paarl in South Africa.
