World Conf calls for more steps to popularize Hindi to make it world language

Scholars participating in the Tenth World Hindi Conference have said that steps will have to be taken to popularize Hindi among youths to make it a world language. In the three day event, being organized in Bhopal, topics like Hindi in foreign policy, science, information technology and administration and use of pure Hindi in journalism and mass communication were discussed today. '<br/><br/>Experts have expressed opinion that internet has strengthened Hindi as a Language. They also stressed on the need of Hindi key boards in computers. Experts have also taken exception on the Hindi being used in private FM radio channels. Some scholars said that a country can only progress when its language has international recognition. <br/><br/>Chairing the session on Hindi in administration, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the use of Hindi in administration in Hindi areas is a human right. Some foreigner scholars have said that the events like World Hindi Conference are good for discussions and promotion of Hindi, but small scale seminars and workshops are needed for more serious deliberations.
