Union Home minister P. Chidambaram has said that world class training is being provided to the National Security Guards (NSG) commandos with an aim to thwart terrorist attacks and hijacking of aeroplanes.

He inaugurated the newly constructed training centre of the NSG commandos at Hyderabad on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion he said the NSG commando force was strategically set up in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad so that the commandos can reach the site of attack, with in no time and take up operations against the terrorists.

He said the NSG commandos are being provided with modern weapons and equipment. He said the NSG commandos will be imparted training in France and Russia. He also termed our NSG commandos as the best in the world.

Andhra Pradesh Home Minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy, Director General of R. Medhekar and others were present on this occasion.
