The eighth game between five times world champion Viswanathan Anand and Norwegian Challenger Magnus Carlsen ended in a draw after 33 moves.Carlsen chose the opening move to keep Anand at pause from the very beginning. Carlsen leads the best of 12 series by 5 points while Anand has scored 3 points. If Carlsen reaches 6.5 points, he will win the world Champion title. If Anand manages to gain the remaining points he will win the Champion's title for the sixth time. Our correspondent reports that Anand played with black pieces yesterday. Carlsen opened the king pawn and glanced into the eyes of the champion to see the extent of surprise on the Champion's face. Carlsen who is described by some as an improvised version of former champion Anatoly Karpov in playing style did exactly what Karpov did as looking eye on eye with his opponent. The players were subjected to a doping test after the game.In the championship match, Anand needs two wins and two draws from the last four games to take the match to tie-break. Anand has a rest day on Wednesday before sitting in front of the white pieces on Thursday.
