The decisive 9th game beetween defending World Chess Champion Vishwanathan Anand and challenger Magnus Carlsen of Noway has begun in Chennai. Anand is playing with white pieces in the 9th game of the 12 game FIDE World Chess Championship. Carlsen who leads with a 5-3 score is moving closer to becoming Norway's first world chess champion He needs just 1.5 points from the four games to win the title.Chess expert and FIDE trainer Ebenezer Joseph told AIR that Anand has to score three points out of the remaining four games which means two more draws and two more wins which will make Anand a champion. In case of a 6-6 tie, the match will be decided in a four game rapid playoff. The winner who will keep the title until next year will receive 8 crore 40 lakh rupees and the runner up will get 5 crore 60 lakh rupees.
