In the Badminton championship 2015 at Jakarta, P. V.Sindhu reached the quarterfinals defeating Li Xuerui 21-14, 14-21, 21-17 in the pre-quarterfinals of the women's singles event. Sindhu will take on Sung Ji Hyun in the quarterfinals tomorrow. Hyun beat Pomptip Buranaprasartsuk 21-9, 21-16.Saina Nehwal also reached the quarterfinals beating Sayaka Takahasi 21-18, 21-14 in the pre-quarterfinals. Saina will take on Wang Yihan in the quarterfinals tomorrow in the women's singles event. Wang Yihan beat Bae Yeon Ju 17-21, 21-18, 21-8. In the Women's Doubles, the pair of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa also reached the quarterfinals beating Japanese duo of Reika Kakiiwa and Miyuki Maeda 21-15, 18-21,21-19.Later today in the men's singles event, world number three K. Srikanth will play Yun Hu of Hong Kong, while H.S. Prannoy will clash with higher placed Viktor Axelsen of Denmark.
