Around one lakh book people visited the 20th edition of New Delhi World Book Fair on the last day at Pragati Maidan in the National Capital to find books of their own choice. The 9 day biennial EVWNT which concluded Sunday evening witnessed around 7 lakh visitors which is three lakh more than the previous year. The theme pavilion which celebrated 100 years of Indian Cinema attracted large number of book lovers and cine stars. Talking to AIR, the organiser of this mega event, National Book Trust's Director M. A Sikandar said that the objective of this fair is to generate reading habits among the youths. He said that the exhibition hosted around 1300 exhibitors from various countries displayed thousands of book in more than 20 languages on various topics. Mr Sikandar said, special pavilions had been also set up depicting centenary celebration of 100 years of Delhi as a capital and commemoration of 150th birth anniversary of noted poet Rabindranath Tagore.
