World Book Fair inaugurated in Delhi

The New Delhi biennial World Book fair could become an annual event. HRD Minister Kapil Sibal says, government is planning to hold the event every year because of its increasing popularity and growing status as one of the most important book-related events in the Afro-Asian region.He was inaugurating the 20th World Book Fair in New Delhi on Saturday. He said India is the third largest publisher of English books and every child in the country having should have access to information free.The fair will be held till the 4th of next month. It is also celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema, themed on the relationship between literature and cinema.1,300 exhibitors are participating in the fair at Pragati Maidan.
