World Bank high-level delegation visits Gujarat to review transformation of education in the state

<span style="color: #222222;">The high-level delegation of the World Bank is visiting Gujarat to review the transformation of education in the state. The delegation under the leadership of World Bank's Global Education Director Jaime Savedra analyzed the transformation of School education in view of 10 thousand crore rupees mission school of excellence program and data-based initiatives at command and control center.<br />''<br />''The mission school of excellence has been undertaken at a cost of around Rs.10,000 crore for the next five years. A total of 41 thousand schools including all the 35,133 government schools and 5847 grants in aid schools across the state will be benefited under the mission school of excellence.<br />''<br />''According to official sources, the Global level infrastructure facilities and educational facilities will be provided to 20 thousand schools. It aims to cover the construction of 50 thousand new classrooms, facilities for smart classes in 1,50,000 rooms, 20000 new computer labs, and 5000 tinkering labs within the next five years.<br />''<br />''The World Bank and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank have approved a loan of 1 billion US dollars for this project. The World Bank has made the highest investment in the education sector in the country so far for the mission schools of excellence project. Over 1 crore students of the state will directly benefit through this project.</span><br />
