The World Bank says, continuing high and volatile food prices are putting the poorest people in the developing world at risk and adding to the problems of famine and drought in the Horn of Africa. In its latest report, the Bank says that world's average food prices are slightly below their recent peak in February but are still high than a year ago. The report chief researcher also warned that global food stocks are alarmingly low.
